Acquired the relic of St. John Chrysostom from the Vatican in Rome and presented it to His Eminence Metropolitan Evangelos of New Jersey on February 3, 2004 at the Metropolis of New Jersey Annual Clergy Retreat held in Hershey, Pennsylvania, to accompany the icon of the newly chosen Patron Saint of the Metropolis - St. John Chrysostom - presented to His Eminence on December 13, 2003 during the consecration weekend of St. Theodore the Commander Chapel in Norfolk, Virginia.

Obtained a particle of the sacred relics of St. John Chrysostom from Msgr. Bishop Pierre Duprey, Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity (the Vatican) during our meeting at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. On July 28, 1996 Bishop Maximos of Pittsburgh and Locum Tenens of the Detroit Diocese enshrined this relic at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Lansing, Michigan.
